I Saw You (Western EST vs. Eastern EST)

as I shaved     drain-worshiper
miry     whiskers phlegm seltzers
glob intimacy     hand mirror scald

I saw another you     cafeteria below my desk
sucktonguing   bowl of lentils
spit drop     chili stain photo

I saw some you     Northern Indiana
faint you     parasailing you     snowsand low
you     corpse in the harness     moist float

you’ll never careen     lakeward
but you’ll want to     Michigan trachea
you’ll look down     you’ll leer

I’ll let you      enroot
glimpses     allome     vile clods
across the Midwest      wrong as me
