VOX’S HEADLINE READS: SORRY GOLF COURSE, THE JAVELINAS WERE HERE FIRST.

No more of the golf course, no more of the greenery
or the red & white flags, or the balls that you can’t &
will never find again. No more of the country club
dress code, the collared shirt enforced or “you can’t come back
here, ever again.” No more of the damn golf carts, their
wheels muddied & muddying; no more of the human
snorts in replacement of hog ones, the swing of club in
replacement of the sturdiness of hoof. No more people
in herds, or doing the herding, the shoving & disappearing
of what truly belongs. No more of the braised pork
belly that is served at the golf course bistro, no more of
the mockery of whose animal-territory we are standing
or living or sweating on. No more of the American flag propped
up in Animal shrub: instead, the ugliness of landscape will
be met with the neatness & beauty of sharp tusk & tooth.
